The Palace is a duplicate of the Paramount Theatre in NYC which was torn down in the 1970's. A 1925 Art Deco Theatre with 1,056 seats including balcony; it was the first Theatre in the country to be built with air conditioning. Today boasting newly remodeled dressing rooms, a brand new front curtain, a 40 foot wide by 30 foot deep stage, plenty of fly space and almost perfect acoustics, the Palace is just waiting for your performance.
Rental Information for the Historic Palace Theatre, Lockport, NY
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday: $750.00, ($500.00 not for profit)
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: $1000.00, ($750.00 not for profit)
Rehearsal time when available: $400.00 per block ($200.00 not for profit)
Weekly: $2,500.00
(Monday 10 am - Sunday midnight)
Renters may expect a $250 security deposit requirement.
*If your event chooses to not serve beer or wine you will be charged a $200.00 fee.
Rental includes: box office services 10am-2pm weekdays and before each performance, online ticketing through our website, your event will be promoted in our quarterly newsletter, in the lobby, on the marquee for 7 days prior - subject to availability, and upcoming event flyers & on our Internet site www.lockportpalacetheatre.com. There will be a theater representative on site during load in/load out; tech support is available at an additional fee. Palace will provide concession stand staff; event manager and front of house staff during performances; & cleaning of theatre between performances.
Rental does not include: posters or flyers (all media advertising material must be approved by the Palace Theatre Executive Director); technical personnel, sound and light augmentation beyond standard house configuration (other than listed above).
Renter must provide: tickets (Palace can provide for $30 per performance if requested); technical staff; lights and sound needs beyond current Palace Theatre equipment; all scenery, props and costumes; 10 pairs of tickets to event to use for event promotion.
Renter is required to restore the Palace Theatre to its pre-rental condition to include dressing rooms and back stage areas at the end of the rental or be subject to a $200 cleaning fee as well as $50 per hour for tech restoration. Renter may also be asked to supply the following personnel during performance: box office, 4-6 ushers, sound/light technicians & stage crew with manager.
All concessions are staffed and run by the Palace Theatre and proceeds are the property of the Palace Theatre. The Palace Theatre has a tavern license and beer and wine will be sold during your event unless previous arrangements are made (additional fee may apply). A twenty-minute intermission is required per performance.

Submission of an application does not grant or imply an agreement to use the Historic Palace Theatre. Only when a License Agreement has been fully executed is an agreement in place. Applicant acknowledges that application will be reviewed and that additional information, documentation or references may be requested. When and if this application is approved, The Historic Palace Theatre will hold the date(s) approved for up to fourteen (14) days, at which time if the applicant has not confirmed the dates, the dates will automatically be released. If another party should inquire about dates before the applicant has confirmed dates, applicant shall have 48 hours from such notification by the Historic Palace Theatre to confirm or release the dates.

For the cost of renting and running the movie (fees vary) and a $50.00 cleaning fee, you could have a movie night at the Palace*.
We have 1100 seats to sell at the price of your choice (movie rental fees based on % of ticket sales). Our movie screen is 40 feet wide and the biggest screen in Niagara County.
Second Run Movie Example:
500 tickets at $5.00 = $2,500.00 less 35% = $1,625.00 less Palace costs (approximately $150.00) = $1,475.00
