OUR SUMMER 2007 STAFF
Christopher Parada
Christopher is no stranger to the theatre, having been involved in over 100 productions. Chris is very excited to be heading up the "Palace Theatre Summer School" this season! Past shows done at the Palace Theatre through Curtain Up Productions are "Fiddler on the Roof" (Motel), "Scrooge the Musical" (Director 2004 & 2005), "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (Joseph), Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" (Director), "5th Anniversary Broadway Review" (Director) and most recently "Jesus Christ Superstar" (Director). Chris has also been involved with Lake Plains Players for 10 years. Other theatre credits include, GO-ART Youth Theatre, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, NCCC Productions and numerous pre-production and make-up and hair jobs for the area.
Peter Schratz
Peter has studied dance at Dyan Mulvey Dance Academy for eight years and been involved in over thirty shows. Peter is a curret member of the Saint Joseph's Colligiate Institute's swing chior and varsity singers. Peter has attended master classes with well-known composers such as David Shire and Marvin Hamlisch, and choreographer Joesph Cipolla of Configuration Dance and American Ballet Academy.Peter choreographed last year's The Jungle Book Kids and is very excited to be the choreographer for the 2007 Palace Performing Arts School.
Danielle Harmon
Danielle has been involved in theater since the age of seven, kindling her lifelong passion for the arts. Familiar with all aspects of theater, from performing to directing, her latest endeavors include Beauty and the Beast (Belle) and Guys and Dolls (Sarah). Danielle is thrilled to be involved with the Palace Performing Arts School for a second year.
Nanette Harmon
Nanette holds her Master's Degree in Deaf Education and has taught American Sign Language for 25 years. Her passion for American Sign Language (ASL) and her love for theatre will mesh this summer. The beauty of ASL lends itself perfectly to the stage. She'll share with students the essentials of non-verbal communication; facial expression, eye contact, body language and mouth movement. In addition, the students will learn basic signs and communication techniques. The students will learn to tell a story in ASL.
